Procedure Details

Dermal Fillers

One of the most common treatments for small, wrinkled earlobes includes injection of soft tissue dermal fillers into the earlobe itself. The dermal fillers used to plump out and smoothen wrinkled, deflated, elderly appearing ears include the hyaluronic acid sugar gels such as Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm, Teosyal and Voluma as well as micro fat injections. Injection of soft tissue fillers into wrinkled earlobes can be performed under local anesthesia, with relatively little downtime and recovery.

Fractional CO2

Fractional laser skin therapy is one of the leading procedures used to improve the appearance of aging skin, and can produce a smoother appearance while achieving skin tightening. Other surgical options include deeper laser resurfacing, resulting in more tissue destruction, redness and “down time”. Skin care products will enhance some aspects of your skin but will not be as effective as laser peels for improving wrinkles, scars and pigmentation irregularities.

Additional Procedures

Patients who have had their wrinkled earlobes treated with injections of soft tissue dermal fillers will enjoy pleasing results for up to two or more years.  Additional treatments that can be performed for wrinkled earlobes include carbon dioxide laser resurfacing, and fractional carbon dioxide laser resurfacing which will smoothen the surface of the earlobe and can be performed in addition, or, at the same time as soft tissue filler injections.
