A new study published in the Journal of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery has revealed what people consider the most attractive lip shape. The study polled over 1,000 people in 35 countries. Of those polled, 60% said they found a symmetrical, 1:1 top to bottom ratio the most attractive lip (think Scarlett Johansson). The next highest-rated, according to the poll, was a larger bottom lip compared to the top lip (like those rocked by Kylie Jenner). However, style and fashion are always evolving so lead researcher Dr. Paul Heidekrueger warned that these results are always subject to change. The Independent spoke to British cosmetic surgeon Dr. Julian De Silva, who claimed that in his practice, a well-defined cupid’s bow is his most requested lip look. “Cupid’s bows can be enhanced and further defined with the use of specific amounts of filler in the upper lip to enhance the natural vertical columns that lie immediately about the upper lip,” he said. “The use of a specific filler can also be used to enhance and redefine the overall contour of the lips.” Personally, we’ve always been envious of Rihanna’s perfect bow.
