Phase 5 of Your Breast Augmentation Journey: Planning

April 20, 2018

Recovery varies from person to person, however we are able to make fairly accurate estimations based on the thousands of procedures performed.

When you plan your procedure, it helps to determine if you need to be healed by a specific event or date and then work backwards.

Here is a fairly accurate timeline for a standard breast augmentation procedure:

April 10Consult
May 15Surgery
May 22Out & AboutReturn to a desk job, do errands, see friends
June 22Begin ExerciseYou can resume your exercise routine, but chest exercises will have to wait a little longer.
July 13Almost HealedYou’ll be looking good and can go bra shopping now
October 13Fully HealedYou should be fully healed, all restrictions removed and your implants should be settled into the correct position and be looking natural

As you can see, you need to allow a good six months to fully heal, so keep that in mind when planning your timing.

You also want to look into financing now. Ask your clinic if this is something they will help arrange. At SpaMedica, we help our patients coordinate the financing they need.

Our next post will be out soon, detailing your pre-op preparations.
