What is the V-Tite?

The V-Tite is a highly-specialized, non-ablative radiofrequency coagulation and tissue-tightening system pioneered and developed by Dr. Mulholland and Inmode Invasix.  The V-Tite is specifically used to treat signs of vaginal laxity, the signs and symptoms of vaginal relaxation syndrome, as well as the pain, inflammation, dryness and discomfort of the genitourinary symptoms of menopause or post-Tamoxifen breast cancer or chemotherapeutic treatment of uterine or ovarian cancer.

How does the V-Tite work to provide radiofrequency vaginal rejuvenation and vaginal tightening?

The V-Tite is a high-tech, minimally-invasive radiofrequency electrical coagulation and tightening system.  It is made up of a bipolar radiofrequency electrode system.  The V-Tite has one electrode that is inserted under the vaginal mucosa and epithelium to provide radiofrequency coagulation, tightening on the deep muscular lining of the vagina and remodeling of the sub-mucosal tissue.  This significantly enhances the tightening of the lax vaginal canal, and stimulates remodeling and rejuvenation of sub-mucosal tissue.  The external electrode of the V-Tite moves in tandem with the sub-mucosal electrode back and forth along both side walls and ceiling and floor of the lining of the vaginal vault providing a gentle, non-ablative radiofrequency stimulation of the mucosal and sub-mucosal tissue.

Much like a FORMA V, ThermiRF and VA, or a moving Thermage-like device, the external electrode of the V-Tite moves inside along the lining of the vaginal canal provides a non-ablative mucosal stimulation and tightening.  The entire treatment is performed under topical anaesthesia and local anaesthesia.  The procedure takes approximately 30 minutes.  Following the V-Tite, a fractional CO2 device such as the SpaMedica Mona Lisa Touch or the SpaMedica CORE Intima will be used to perform fractional CO2 resurfacing of the vaginal mucosa.  The Fractora V or fractional radiofrequency ablative technology, designed specifically for fractional radiofrequency vaginal rejuvenation can also applied following the V-Tite.  With this triple therapy, the V-Tite can be used to treat all the signs and symptoms of genitourinary symptoms of menopause, vaginal relaxation syndrome; the single-treatment stage, and not require the three-month typical program of fractional CO2 alone.  V-Tite deploys the deep electrode under the vaginal mucosalFigure 2.  The V-Tite deploys the deep electrode under the vaginal mucosal for sub-lining tightening and remodelling of the deep muscular layer, while the external electrode heats, remodels and tightens the vaginal lining.

Is the V-Tite Vaginal Tightening procedure painful?

The procedure is performed under topical anaesthesia with adjunctive local anaesthesia.  Most patients describe the procedure as zero-to-mild discomfort.

What is my recovery period like following V-Tite Vaginal Tightening ?

Following the V-Tite applicator Vaginal treatment, along with the Mona Lisa Touch, Core Intima fractional CO2 and Fractora V, patients can return to normal activities immediately.  There may be several days of a small amount of discharge following the fractional CO2 ablation using the Mona Lisa Touch, the CORE Intima and the Fractora V, but patients require no additional topical treatment.

When might I return to normal sexual intimacy and intercourse following my V-Tite Vaginal Tightening ?

Patients are advised to avoid vaginal sexual intercourse, vaginal penetration and coitus for six weeks.  After six weeks, normal return to sexual intimacy and intra-vaginal sexual stimulation can occur.

Is there any maintenance required following my V-Tite Vaginal Tightening?

Following the single-multi applicator V-Tite program with the V-Tite, the Mona Lisa Touch, CORE Intima and Fractora V, there is no additional ablative treatments required. The Tightening effects will last for many months or years. However, maintenance treatments to protect and maintain the improvements and a return in the symptoms of vaginal relaxation syndrome and Vulvo-vaginal atrophy are recommended once every three to four months.  These maintenance treatments usually consist of the Fractora V and the FORMA V and are performed by the highly skilled and trained SpaMedica Female Wellness and Gynaecology technicians.

How much does the V-Tite vaginal rejuvenation treatment cost?

The V-Tite is a single treatment performed in less than an hour.  It does not require subsequent treatments once a month, as is typical in the fractional and resurfacing three-month program and as such, this single-treatment program costs $2,799.  Maintenance and protection treatments can be purchased every four months singly, or an entire year up front can be purchased at customer-client value pricing.
