Patients can have their excess fat, subcutaneous tissue and skin of the upper arm treated through a variety of procedures. The most common and effective treatment for Bat Wings is liposuction of the upper arm if the skin tone and elasticity is good.
Procedure Details
The most common and effective treatment for Bingo Wings is liposuction of the upper arm if the skin tone and elasticity is good. In Bingo Wings Liposuction, a small incision made around the elbow region and the middle of the upper arm and these are used as an access port for liposuction probes.
Brachioplasty
Also known as an arm lift, is a procedure to remove excess skin and soft tissue, as well as fat from the upper arm which some refer to as “bingo wings” or “bat wings”. The area of excess skin, fat, wrinkles and cellulitic deformity are outlined in conjunction with the patient prior to the procedure. The excess fat is removed, the arm is slimmer and the upper arm appears better in any type of modified short or tank top bathing wear type sleeveless clothing. You can expect tremendous rejuvenation of the area with a tighter, shapelier form upper arm that will look good in blouses and tank tops and short t-shirts and bathing wear.
Liposuction
Patients who undergo upper arm liposuction generally will not have a recurrence of the aesthetically displeasing Bingo Wing condition, as long as careful weight maintenance is observed.
Soft Tissue and Dermal Fillers
The injection of soft tissue fillers such as: Sculptra, Perlane, Restylane, Teosyal, Radiesse, and fat grafts will provide substance and bulk to the aged bony appearance that can occur on the back of the hands, smoothing the overlying skin.
FotoFacial
Additional treatments that can be used in combination with soft tissue fillers and fractional resurfacing lasers include intense pulse light photo rejuvenation, Fotofacial RF for the removal of excessive brown spots.
