The procedure starts at $6,999.
Patients can return to light activity the next day, but it takes up to 6-12 weeks to fully recover.
The procedure takes approximately 1 hour.
Mons pubic liposuction is a form of vaginal rejuvenation that is used to address a curvature, protrusion, or “puffiness” in the pubic area. The procedure removes excess fat through liposuction to make the mons pubis flatter, more comfortable and more attractive.

More Defined Pubic Region
Drooping and protruding skin causes the mons pubis to lose definition. The area becomes more defined after the procedure.
Clothing Fits Better
When the mons pubis protrudes or hangs, clothing does not fit well. Many people cannot wear tight clothing due to this problem. Clothing fits much better following this procedure.
Clothing Feels Better
Excess mons pubis tissue can make clothing uncomfortable. After reducing the mons pubis, tight clothing feels more comfortable.
Increased Confidence
An overly developed mons pubis can cause people to lose confidence or feel embarrassed. Patients will feel better with and without clothing after undergoing this procedure.
The risks are minimal with mons pubis liposuction. While some patients experience minor complications, they normally go away within days or are easily managed with post-operative manipulation.
Minor Bruising and Swelling
Minor bruising and swelling are normal following the procedure. Patients wear a compression garment to reduce swelling and bruising.
Minor Sensitivity
Many people experience minor sensitivity after the procedure. In most cases, this is easily controlled with over-the-counter pain medication.
Anesthesia Complications
While rare, some people suffer from anesthesia complications. Dr. Bell goes over each patient’s medical history to ensure they are good candidates for the procedure.
Loose Skin
Patients who have lost elasticity in their skin might have loose skin after the procedure. Dr. Bell can discuss an additional procedure to tighten and lift the mons pubis, through a simple suprapubic lift, performed through a C-section scar and also under local anesthesia.
Dr. Bell is Canada’s most reputable and experienced plastic surgeon, preforming over 5000 breast augmentations, liposuctions, tummy tucks, and body contouring procedures in his 25+ years of practice.
A mons pubis lift is often combined with mons liposuction. After the mons liposuction, a C-section sized incision is placed at the top of the pubic hairline and the mons is undermined, elevated and the extra saggy mons tissue is removed, tightening the mons.
The non-surgical liposuction technology can sometimes be applied on the mons and work. The Evolve Trim and the SculpSure can be used on the mons pubis and both reduce fat permanently and non-invasively.
Dr. Bell performs or oversees mons pubis liposuction procedures at SpaMedica. The surgeon administers local anesthesia and uses SmartLipo, VaserLipo, or Bodytite radiofrequency-assisted liposuction to heat, coagulate, liquify, and remove the fat. This causes the mons pubis to deflate and flatten.
The recovery process is relatively quick. Once the swelling dissipates, patients have a flatter, aesthetically pleasing mons pubis. For several days the external genitalia is quite swollen, but that swelling comes down quickly.
Day 1: Patients go home the same day after undergoing a mons pubis liposuction.
Day 2-3: Patients generally return to work, although they need to be mindful of bruising and swelling.
Week 1-3: Patients wear a body contouring garment for the first 3 weeks but can resume light activities immediately and light aerobic activities.
Week 4-6: High-impact activities can be resumed.
A mini-tummy tuck, liposuction of other areas, fat grafting, laser hair removal and cellulite reduction treatment all work well with mons pubis liposuction.
Patients typically experience mild discomfort following this procedure. Discomfort is easily managed with over-the-counter pain medications.
The fat that is removed during mons pubis liposuction is gone forever. However, it is important to maintain your surgical weight as weight increase will swell up the fat cells that remain in the mons.
Dr. Bell is a master of BodyTite liposuction which gives good soft tissue contraction and tightening, so the risk of your mons getting loose and falling is very low. If there is a mons droopiness that develops, even years later, a simple mons pubis lift works to correct this.
