The cost of a RevLite laser tattoo removal is dependent on the tattoo’s size. The cost starts at $199-$1,299 per treatment and $549-$3,399 for a three-treatment package.
It will take approximately 1 week for the initial white frosting, mild flaking and redness to subside.
RevLite laser tattoo removal is a fast treatment that takes just 5-15 minutes depending on the tattoo size.
RevLite laser tattoo removal is a state-of-the-art, nanosecond laser tattoo removal system. The system is the most effective and well-known of the nanosecond pulse generation laser tattoo removal systems.
The RevLite comes with four separate wavelengths of light within the laser itself to optimize removal of multi-coloured tattoos. At SpaMedica, we often deploy both PicoSure (ultra-short pulse duration) and RevLite for resistant tattoo ink particles to ensure the best results. (sometimes even the PicoWay)
The four separate RevLite wavelengths (1064-nanometer, 615-nanometer, 585-nanometer, 532-nanometer) work together to target dark black, green, blue, purple, red, yellow and orange tattoo pigments.
RevLite laser tattoo removal is an ideal treatment for men and women who have an unwanted tattoo that makes them feel self-conscious, hide tattoos that no longer reflects them as a person or are unhappy with the appearance of a tattoo.
RevLite can be deployed when there are partially removed ink particles left after a PicoSure treatment.
Unique Dispersion of Energy
PhotoAcoustic Technology PulseTM (PTP) system offers greater results and increased comfort.
Fewer Treatments Needed
By combining PicoSure and RevLite treatments, only half the number of treatments are required for superior tattoo removal compared to older technologies.
The recovery period lasts just 1 week, meaning it won’t be long until you can reap the benefits.
Like all procedures, a RevLite laser tattoo removal comes with the risk of potential complications. Dr. Mulholland has been performing these procedures for years and, as such, the risk of a significant complication is extremely low. Please note that all complications are managed and corrected as part of your surgical fee. Although Dr. Mulholland has not seen most of the risks listed below, these complications have been reported:
Your skin will naturally turn a frosty white colour and usually subsides after just 20 minutes.
Scabs often appear 1 day after the area has been treated and when the scab falls off, the top layer of ink will come with it.
Small blisters are a normal side effect and should completely heal within 2 weeks.
Itching sensations are common, but patients must refrain from scratching the area.
Scars and Pigmentation Changes
The thermal effects of the Revlite can cause a burn, scarring and pigmentation changes (lightening or darkening of the skin). Modulating the Revlite energy and combining it with the Picosure greatly minimizes this risk.
Dr. Mulholland and SpaMedica are pioneers in the area of laser tattoo removal and no other tattoo removal clinic in Toronto or Canada has more lasers or experience.
Dr. Mulholland has assembled the finest quality of lasers to ensure the best possible results with the least possible side effects in the shortest number of treatments. Dr. Mulholland is an acknowledged worldwide pioneer in laser tattoo removal and frequently lectures on tattoo removal procedures and the science of laser tattoo removal around the world.
RevLite laser tattoo removal will only be used when there is resistant coloured ink after 4-6 PicoSure treatments. Although it is uncommon for there to be any ink particles remaining, it is in this scenario that RevLite will be used.
Following 4-6 PicoSure laser tattoo removal treatments, patients can expect to see at least 90% tattoo removal. Other tattoo removal lasers, such as RevLite, will then be deployed when there is 10% or more residual, resistant and recalcitrant ink particles left.
Prior to your procedure, Dr. Mulholland and his team will review your medications and medical history. Based on the scope of the procedure, SpaMedica doctors may recommend that you stop taking certain medications before the treatment. During your consultation, Dr. Mulholland will carefully review your skin’s reaction to the RevLite device in order to assemble the most optimal treatment plan.
RevLite has a more photothermal effect meaning more redness and inflammation will be incurred than with PicoSure.
After the initial white frosting phase, the recovery period is characterized by mild flaking and redness for approximately 7 days. Topical antibiotic ointment and occlusive dressing, with frequent tepid water cleansing in the shower is all that is required post-treatment. The tattoo itself can be washed immediately the following day after treatment.
RevLite laser tattoo removal is generally well-tolerated by patients. The treatment is performed under topical anesthesia, laughing gas (Nitrous oxide) and air cooling device and/or local anesthesia, the procedure is generally described as comfortable.
The RevLite laser tattoo removal system is used when there is resistant coloured ink after 4-6 PicoSure treatments. When both the PicoSure and RevLite are used, almost all patients can experience 90% to 100% removal of a tattoo. It usually takes 4-6 PicoSure treatments, and an additional 3-4 RevLite colour resistant treatments to achieve this.
